Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) to Offer Onsite Grading at Nickel City Con

Dave & Adam’s and Nickel City Con are excited to announce that Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) will be offering onsite grading at Nickel City Con! This announcement provides fans with the opportunity to have their comics professionally graded and encapsulated by the industry’s leading grading service during the show. Nickel City Con, featuring William Shatner, takes place May 19-21 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.

“We are thrilled that CGC has chosen to exhibit and grade on-site at Nickel City Con. CGC only grades on-site at a handful of shows each year, and for them to choose to do so at Nickel City Con is both an honor and a testament to how our show is quickly establishing itself as a must attend on the con circuit,” said Adam Martin, Dave & Adam’s CEO.

Will cgc also do reholder casing at this onsite grading? If so what would the price be on that?

    • Brian Sampson February 13, 2017 @ 8:20am

      Hi Dave,
CGC does not offer to reholder books onsite.

      Thank you

  • Ian February 14, 2017 @ 12:27am

Good day. Thrilled at the prospect of on-sight CGC grading, thank you all for time and effort in doing.
It probably is on the site here, but I’m not finding it..any steering to FAQs, advise, what customer preparation best or necessary for Walkthru grading? Thank you very much.

    • Brian Sampson February 14, 2017 @ 10:04am

      Hey Ian,
Great question, not much preparation is needed. You’ll visit CGC at their booth, fill out the necessary paperwork and drop the books with them. They will let you know when you can pick your books back up. Hope we answered your question. Thank you!

I was planning on coming up on Saturday from Ohio to have a few books graded. Do they have to be submitted the first day (Friday) or can I submit them on Saturday when I arrive? Will I get them back the same day? I only planned on attending for one day

    • Brian Sampson May 10, 2017 @ 8:25am

      Hi Ryan,
No, you can submit books on Saturday as well. However, we can’t guarantee that they will be ready the same day…that isn’t something that is in our control. That is up to CGC and how many books they take in and how quickly they can process them.

      • Ryan May 17, 2017 @ 4:01am

Is there anything I need to do before I arrive? If not, is there anything I can do to help expedite the process?
