Marina Sirtis is best known for playing Counselor Deanna Troi for all seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation as well as appearing in all four Next Generation films. She also had guest starring roles on Star Trek: Voyager and in the series finale of Star Trek: Enterprise. Sirtis was born to Greek parents who did not want her to become an actress. As soon as Marina completed high school, she applied to the Guild Hall School of Music and Drama secretly and after her graduation, worked in musical theater, repertory and television. In 1986, she moved to Los Angeles, California. For six months, she auditioned for parts unsuccessfully and just before she planned to go back home, she got the part of Counselor Deanna Troi in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Sirtis’ post-Trek work includes appearances in series such as “Diagnosis: Murder,” “The Outer Limits,” “Earth: Final Conflict,” (originally created by Gene Rodenberry) “The Closer” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Stargate SG-1,” and “NCIS” as well as roles in the films “Crash,” and “Spectres.” Beyond her live action work, animation and gaming fans will recognize Marina Sirtis’s voice from her roles in the fondly remember Disney series “Gargoyles,” “Adventure Time,” “Family Guy,” “Young Justice” and the hit “Mass Effect” gaming franchise. Sirtis can next be seen in the comedy series Internity as well as the feature film 5th Passenger and most recently reviving her role as Counselor Deanna Troi on CBS’ Star Trek: Picard!
